Don’t you just love narrow rectangular-ish tables of any kind? You can use them in your entryway, hallway, as a buffet, sofa table, media stand, or…at church?!?
When I first found this solid oak table it was a bit boring. Straight lines, worn finish, and…the perfect canvas!
As I was sanding this beauty down prepping her for paint, I saw a church logo had been stamped onto the underside of the table! We all should bring a little of church home with us:)
With all the straight lines she needed a little something to add some character. I headed to my scrap pile bin for inspiration. I found a piece of 1 x 3 scrap wood. Initially I thought I would add one faux drawer, but then I thought, “What’s better than one? Maybe three!” So I cut the scrap down and glued them to the front apron.
The whole table got a fresh coat of greige paint. I then distressed and glazed the whole piece.
The final touch was adding the library label pulls. Isn’t it amazing how hardware can add so much to a piece of furniture!
*Where is she now?
She is now in the entryway of someone who has become a favorite client of mine!
